The eMotimo Cart gives you ideal 3rd axis freedom. Set up
short or long linear movements. Let the scene/environment you're
shooting define the length or curve of you move, not the gear you
have. The Cart is perfect for moving around or through a subject or
environment. Achieve a parallax effect or move in a full circle
without leaving any witness to the equipment being used for the
shot. You will need a TB3 in order to program the Cart.
From Philippe Caumes. of bordeaux, France on 12/7/2016.
Hello, thank you for your delivery. I made my first images with the cart, and the result seems to be very interesting.A detail however: I changed wheels by more flexible wheels. Those of origin are really hard and do not absorb the shocks and the vibrations.cordially, Philippe Caumes.
Amazing Time Lapse Motion
From Maxx McInerney of Miami Beach, Florida on 9/28/2015.
Works really well for unique movements while time lapsing. A little more difficult to get smooth video unless the ground is really smooth. I can go over cracks and stuff while time lapsing no problem though. Excited to keep working with it and learning it.
From Jalbert Productions of madison, Wisconsin on 7/22/2015.
the effects you can create with this thing are amazing. It's hardy, well-built and very easy to use. Circular motions add an entirely new dimension to timelapse
From Paul Yonna of West Hobart, Australia on 7/12/2015.
Delivered to Hobart Tasmania Australia in good time from placing the order ... This cart will do everything (and more, you are limited only by your imagination) as promised ... an excellent quality product that I have come to expect from eMotimo ... just love using their equipment
Icing on the cake
From Rob Rogers of Atlanta, Georgia on 4/28/2015.
This product is so good and so unique, I want to lie and tell everybody it sucks so I'm the only one using it. But, I just wouldn't feel right about that. Get one, You'll be glad you did.
From Larry Cunningham of Laguna Woods, California on 4/27/2015.
I found the Cart easy to assemble and transport since I do a lot of field work. The Cart breaks down into pieces small enough to put into a backpack for transport. Using the eMotimo for forward motion control the Cart provides a very steady platform for smooth flat surfaces and will traverse a vertical climb when properly programmed to keep power on the motor to act as a brake. The Cart is the ideal unit for complete 360s when video is required. If you want non-linear (rail) shots, then the Cart is the way to go. Thanks to Brian and his engineering team for a great unit!!
Greeat Addition To My Motion Control Systems
From Michael e. Stern of Pasadena, California on 3/26/2015.
As a time lapse specialist, motion control is crucial to the success of my films. I already own the TB3 and with the Cart, it's easier than ever to program complex 3-point hyper lapse moves...My only issue with the Cart is that it's difficult to get it to travel in a straight line. I've tried several ways and still have not found the sweet spot for the front wheel...All that being said I would buy it again due to its' ease of use.
From Ben of Olympia, Washington on 3/20/2015.
I haven't had a chance to use it a lot yet, but I am impressed with what I've seen so far! There is a lot of potential with this rig.
4/17/2017 – Can a monopod installed on the cart along with spectrum on the top of the monopod to do eye lever timelapse instead of low . . .
Response From eMotimo: The spectrum mounted up at eye level with 3-5 feet of monopod under it would be too unstable. The cart is great for low angles and tabletop. For eye level timelapse, sliders supported well at the elevation you want is the best solution. The iFootage slider kit we sell can be configured with 2 feet of usable slide and center supported with a robust tripod for quick placement.
3/26/2016 – Will this work with the Spectrum?
Response From eMotimo: Hi Adam, thanks for the question. The Cart will work with the spectrum. We have added a drop down menu on the product page for motor cable. If you are purchasing the Cart to use with spectrum, please be sure to select the spectrum motor cable from the drop down menu. Also, when using the Cart with the Spectrum you will want to elevate the spectrum to have clearance over the front wheel. We recommend mounting the spectrum using a ball head or monopod head to achieve clearance. You will need roughly 2 inches of elevation. We will have more on this soon. Thanks!
4/11/2015 – .. with how much weight I can load the cart ? Thanks ..
Response From eMotimo: The Cart supports: With TB3: 8 lbs. Without TB3: 20 lbs.For more details, please see our Cart landing page here: http://emotimo.com/cart/Thanks for the question!
3/22/2015 – Regarding the "Cart": May I ask if Cart has breaking or locking feature to prevent it from sliding on a slightly sloped . . .
Response From eMotimo: Just like with sliders going vertical, we can hold our motors between shots when working on a slope. This is accomplished by choosing Aux Motors on for: Program or Always in the Setup menu.
3/6/2015 – Does the new "loop mode" work well with the cart? I'd like to use it as a second camera man of sorts, sliding back and forth . . .
Response From eMotimo: Hey, good question. Yes, the Cart will work in continuous loop mode. You program the Cart the same way you would program a slider with the TB3. The Cart will work with all TB3 firmware features. Thanks!
