Size Does Matter!

...I am using the TB3 unit with a Dynamic Perception Stage-Zero rail, and like a previous reviewer, I also found the standard length just a few inches too short to be not stretched when connected, so I ordered the 2.5 foot cable, and altho it is way too long, it allows for many different configurations comfortably....The only reason I did not give this product a 5-star rating is the connectors feel to me to be the weak-link in this design, and I would really like to see plugs with more positive connection methods, like a clamp or similar type of attachment which could not be pulled out as easily accidentally during use....The first thing that comes to mind is a BNC plug, used in video, which has a positive half-turn locking mechanism unable to be pulled apart, even in a hurricane. ( Granted, using the TB3 in a hurricane would be rather ill-advised to begin with, but ya get my point! )...This is far more in the category of a constructive suggestion, rather than an outright complaint here, as the products are fantastic, and customer-support is nothing less than Superb! ...And that is even AFTER you buy their gear, which is both gratifying and amazing, and such a pleasant surprise from the vast majority of companies that sell you something...and then forget you ever existed!...I have nuthin but the highest praise for these good folks at eMotimo!
A step in the right direction

The swappable cable lengths are very useful for anyone using the new Rhino / TB3 slider combo, but I found them useful when using the TB3 with the Dynamic Perception Stage Zero and Stage One systems. Sometimes you need to position the TB3 box in such a way that a standard length "fixed" cable from the AUX stepper doesn't reach the TB3 I/O panel just right. With a few cable lengths on hand, I can make any configuration work easily now. It also offers peace of mind in the field. While this hasn't happened to me, here's an example: If a Molex connector accidentally became damaged during transport, you could quickly swap to a replacement cable.Great job, eMotimo.
